HTE Fekete László Prize: an IT innovation is worth HUF 1 million again this year
2021.04.23
The Scientific Association for Infocommunications (HTE) Fekete László Prize tender has been launched. INNObyte Informatikai Zrt. was one of the organizations involved in its creation in 2019. It is possible to enter this year’s tender with an ICT product or service implemented within an individual or company framework by the deadline of 1 October2021. The prize is open to those private individuals (or nominations) who participated – as inventor and/or leader – in the establishment or implementation of the concept of the given innovative development. The winner receives not only acknowledgement within the profession but prize money amounting to HUF 1,000,000.
The Scientific Association for Infocommunications, in partnership with leading representatives of the ICT profession, established the prize in 2020 in memory of László Fekete, a key figure in Hungary’s telecommunications and IT sector. For decades, the expert who died before his time was a recognized and important personality in the Hungarian ICT community, he constantly researched innovative solutions and was mentor to many top experts of our day. His name is associated with, among other things, the realization of WAP, and thus in effect mobile Internet, in Hungary, the introduction of IPTV on the cable TV network and mobile TV. He not only had a profound understanding of the profession but he foresaw with which technologies and in which direction it was worth progressing. With this prize founded in his honour, HTE strives to encourage new generations of innovators.
As founder of the prize, INNObyte encourages innovators to apply to this professional tender. We wish all entrants much success in their applications!
