Kálmán Lengyel elected as a board member of the Hungarian Drone Coalition

2021.08.06

The number of members of the Hungarian Drone Coalition (MDK) established on 4 May 2021 increased to 96 in two months. As we previously reported, INNObyte Zrt. is one of the founding members of the organisation, and now we are proud to announce that Kálmán Lengyel, CEO of INNObyte Zrt. is among the nine board members elected at the first plenary session of the MDK held on 13 July 2021.

The chairman of the Coalition is Dániel Rohács, head of the Department of Aeronautics and Naval Architecture at the Faculty of Transportation Engineering and Vehicle Engineering of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and the remaining members of the board are István Érsek, under-secretary of state at the Ministry for Innovation and Technology responsible for administrative affairs in transportation, György Firbás, logistics expert at Digitális Jólét Nonprofit Kft., Kálmán Lengyel, CEO of INNObyte Zrt., Zsolt Molnár, managing director of Rotors and Cams Zrt., Zsolt Szalay, head of the Department of Automotive Technologies at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Kornél Szepessy, CEO of HungaroControl Zrt., Gergely Tuzson, managing director of Légtér.hu Kft., and Sándor Zsitkovszky, deputy head of department at the Department of Information Technology of the Ministry of Interior.

The main objectives of the MDK include assisting in the development of a suitable regulatory framework and supporting Hungarian companies and industry players involved in the use of unmanned aerial vehicles and the related technologies.

When carrying out its projects, INNObyte Zrt. has always focused on creating value and applying innovative technologies, and not just on doing the job right. The goal of the Digital Welfare Programme (DJP) launched by the Government of Hungary at the end of 2015 is to ensure that all Hungarian citizens and companies benefit from digitalisation. Established at the initiative of the DJP, the objectives of the Hungarian Drone Coalition include helping Hungary become a global leader in the use of unmanned aerial vehicles as soon as possible, significantly improving the competitiveness of Hungarian enterprises through the widespread implementation of unmanned aerial vehicles and the related technological improvements while respecting personal rights, and improving competitiveness at a rate that is measurable at the scale of the national economy. These are objectives we can identify with and we can actively work towards achieving them” – said Kálmán Lengyel, CEO of INNObyte Zrt., in connection with his board membership.
